No Other Gospel
Gal 1:6-9
1) To desert the gospel is to desert God and His grace
Ways we can desert the gospel:
- When we fail
- When it’s personal
- When there’s pressure
2) To distort the gospel is to lose the gospel
Jude 4 for certain people have crept in unnoticed who long ago were designated for this condemnation, ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into sensuality and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.
Acts 20:29-30 I know that after my departure fierce wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock and from among your own selves will arise men speaking twisted things, to draw away the disciples after them.
4 patterns we see of false teachers
- Often popular
- After money
- Sinful in private life
- Man-centered
3) To destroy the gospel is to incur damnation
2 John 10-11 If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house or give him any greeting, for whoever greets him takes part in his wicked works.
