Women's Study: Ecclesiastes

Leader: Karlin Oettle

Tuesday Mornings : 9:30am-11:30am  |   October 19 – November 23, 2021

"Vanity of vanities. All is vanity."

Encouraging, right? Actually, it is! Solomon repeatedly presents life as frustrating, unfair, and meaningless. When we examine his ‘under the sun’ perspective and contrast it with our ‘under the Son’ perspective in Jesus, it magnifies just how blessed we are as believers. We'd be wise not to overlook this important Old Testament book that is full of truth that guides us in life.

The recommended (not required) amount of time to set aside for homework is five hours per week. Class time consists of one hour of discussion of the homework and one hour viewing a video teaching.

 Women's Study: Ruth

Leader: Jenny Harmon

Thursday Mornings : 9:00am-11am   |   September 23 – November 11, 2021

If you were a slave, who would buy your freedom? If you had an enemy, who would come to your defense? In the Old Testament, this buyer-defender known as a "kinsman - redeemer" was usually a close relative. If you're a believer, you already have one - Jesus Christ!
This rich study shows how Jesus both bought us (redeemer) and advocates (defends) for us, offering us an opportunity to rebuild our broken lives.

Leader: Tanya Flores

Sunday Afternoons : 1:30pm-3pm   |  October 17 – November 14, 2021

But we don’t have to live at the mercy of our emotions. This book study and homework will clear away common misconceptions and mixed messages about our feelings to offer us a biblical perspective on emotions―helping us understand how they work, why we feel what we feel, and how to develop good emotional habits. We will see that we don’t have to ignore, excuse, or follow our feelings, but can instead learn to honor God with our emotions as an integral part of who he made us to be.
