Galatians 5:13-14

Big Idea: Stand firm in the freedom Christ has called you to by serving one another.  

Why does serving help us remain in our Christian freedom?

1. Because serving is the freedom to be ruled by God, not the flesh (v. 13)

2. Because serving is the freedom to love others, not use others (v. 13b)         

                   a. Serving to get in return

                   b. Serving to be appreciated

                   c. Serving when it's convenient

                   d. Serving when it fits my gifts 

             3. Because serving is the freedom to do God’s will, not deny it (v. 14) 

                   a. Motivated by gratitude, not guilt  

                   b. Motivated by joyful obedience, not forced obligation
