1 John 4:13-21
Big Idea: God loves you perfectly, and he wants to perfect your love
God's perfect love for you can be known, and it can be believed (v. 13-16)
God's perfect love can be known through good, biblical theology (v. 13-15)

- Trinitarian
- Invitational
God's perfect love is believed by faith (v. 16)
Many of us filter the claim "God loves you" through our own experiences such as...
- The love of others
- Our health
- Success
- "Doing good" spiritually or not
What we need to do is filter our experiences through the unchanging truth that God loves me in Jesus
God wants to perfect your love by producing 2 things within you:
#1 God wants to produce in you an eternal confidence that matters today (v. 17-18)
#2 God wants to produce in you his divine love (v. 19-21)
