BIG IDEA: Humility is the Kingdom posture that God blesses. Pursue it!

1. Reflect on the wonder of Jesus’ sacrifice
John Stott wrote, “Nothing in history or in the universe cuts us down to size like the cross. All of us have inflated views of ourselves, especially in self-righteousness, until we have visited a place called Calvary. It is there, at the foot of the cross, that we shrink to our true size.”

2. Redefine greatness

Jesus doesn’t say you shouldn’t pursue greatness. He simply redefines it.
-Greatness in God’s eyes is not about self-glory but self-giving.
-Greatness isn’t defined by what you accomplish but how you serve.

3. Resolve to serve God’s people sacrificially
v. 36-37
-Jesus wants you to serve others as if you were serving Jesus himself
