Topic: Church Scripture: 1 Thessalonians 5:9–11

Therefore encourage one another

16 And when Jesus was baptized, immediately he went up from the water, and behold, the

heavens were opened to him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming

to rest on him; 17 and behold, a voice from heaven said, “This is my beloved Son with whom I

am well pleased.” Matthew 3:16-17

Be encouraged - as a Christ follower – you are a beloved Son or Daughter – with whom God is

17 Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to

meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore encourage one

another with these words. Thessalonians 4:17-18

9 For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,

10 who died for us so that whether we are awake or asleep we might live with him. 11 Therefore

encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing. Thessalonians 5:9-11

13 But encourage (or exhort) one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of

you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness. Hebrews 3:13

“24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to

meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you

see the Day drawing near.” Hebrews 10:24
