Each year we tackle an element of Biblical Theology that takes us from Genesis to Revelation: This year we are studying Work & Rest. Work and rest tend to be opposed to one another, at least in our mind. However, the opening pages of Scripture show God as the initial worker, who includes humanity in his worldwide venture, uniting work and rest together. After the Fall, work includes futility and is distorted, but hope is not lost as Jesus brings rest and enables humanity to cooperate with God once more.
