This Christmas season, we are doing something called Doxa Gives. As a church, we will highlight and give generously above and beyond towards two local ministries.
1. We are partnering with Safe Refuge to bring awareness and add new host families to their program.
The mission of Safe Refuge is to protect children from potential neglect or abuse arising from a crisis by providing them with a safe, stable temporary refuge (home) and reuniting the family as quickly as possible when the crisis is resolved.
This is a great opportunity for our church members to live out our call to share the gospel, practice hospitality, and love our neighbors. If you are interested in getting involved you can learn more here or talk with the Safe Refuge staff at church any Sunday in December.
2. We are partnering with the Union Gospel Mission in Sacramento to provide funds for their renovation project.
The heart of Union Gospel Mission ministry is to glorify Jesus Christ through the evangelization and regeneration of the urban poor while worshiping with acts of mercy. To serve these ends, the Mission provides a Christ-centered environment, clothing, food, shelter, spiritual training, and a recovery program.
This year we will be giving to them financially to help renovate their facilities. You can learn about their renovation project here.
This Christmas, please consider giving generously toward Doxa Gives and partner with us as we work to aid in disciple-making in our local community.
